The Altis Sigma MX is the fastest electric dirt bike we’ve ever tested, hands down. With a top speed over 64 mph, a 97.2V 35Ah battery, and a 22,500W motor, it delivers more power than most people will know what to do with. We tested this hands-on and were blown away by how much raw performance it offers right out of the box. Compared to other e-dirt bikes in this price range, it’s not even close.

What is the max speed of the Altis Sigma MX?
The MX version tops out at around 64 mph in race mode, which is absolutely insane for an electric dirt bike. The most popular Surron model, the Surron Light Bee X, goes 46 mph for comparison. The standard Altis Sigma model can go even faster, up to 75 mph under ideal conditions.
What is the range of the Altis Sigma MX?
There’s no official range estimate for the MX model, but it uses a similar battery pack to the standard Altis Sigma, which typically gets 60–70 miles per charge. The MX features a 97.2V, 35Ah battery—providing over 3.4 kWh of capacity, which is quite large for a dirt bike. It also uses high-quality Samsung 50S cells. For comparison, most electric dirt bikes have battery capacities between 2.4 and 3 kWh.
Additionally, the Sigma MX battery is accessible under the seat and can be removed easily for charging or replacement. This is something we always look for in electric dirt bikes, because often it can be inconvenient to find a charging outlet right next to where you need to park the bike.
How long does it take to charge the Altis Sigma MX?
Using the included high-power 112.5V, 12A charger (which is pushing the limits of what a standard wall outlet can provide), you can fully charge the bike in approximately 3 hours, or just 2 hours from 20% to full. Most manufacturers don’t recommend draining the battery completely, so if you keep it between 20% and 100% charging should be extremely quick.
What is the weight of the Altis Sigma MX?
The bike weighs between 185-200 pounds depending on accessories, which is heavier than most e-dirt bikes. It can also carry heavier riders, with a weight limit of 300 lbs. The Surron Light Bee X, for comparison, has a max rider load of 220 lbs.
How big are the tires on the Altis Sigma MX?
The MX version features a 19-inch front tire and a smaller, wide rear tire (16-inch, 90/100), both with CST off-road tread. The 19×19 version offers larger, uniform wheels for more street-friendly performance and for a higher top speed. The standard and MX are identical in most aspects, but the larger wheels allow it to reach a significantly higher top speed (75mph vs 64mph).
What are the brakes on the Altis Sigma MX?
It features four-piston hydraulic brakes with oversized 260mm (front) and 220mm (rear) rotors—comparable to full-size motorcycles. It also has decently thick brake pads, so we’re confident they won’t get worn down quickly. This is necessary considering the bike itself weighs almost 200 lbs and it is rated for riders up to 300 lbs: bringing 500 lbs to a complete stop is not an easy task for standard e-bike brake pads. We’re satisfied over all with the braking components and braking performance of the bike.
What additional features does the Sigma MX have?
- TFT LCD display
- NFC card unlocking with dual key profiles
- Park mode (throttle lock)
- Reverse function
- USB-A and USB-C charging ports
- Lockable steering column
- Adjustable front light with DRL, low, and high beams
- Motorcycle-grade horn
What is an alternative to the Altis Sigma MX?
For street-legal alternatives, the Talaria Sting R or Surron Light Bee X are popular, but neither come close in power. For those seeking something truly comparable in performance, the Stark VARG is closer—but at over $12,000, it’s in a completely different price tier.
The Freshly Charged Take
