Should I Get The Kaabo Mantis Pro Or Wolf King+

The Kaabo Mantis Pro and Wolf King+ are powerful scooters with distinct personalities. The Wolf King+ is a beast built for speed and power, ideal for straightaways but less agile in tight turns. In contrast, the Mantis Pro shines in nimbleness and quick maneuvers. Both share premium components, but their ride and capabilities differ dramatically.

The Mantis Pro and Wolf King+ are both high powered scooters made by Kaabo, but offer two completely different rides. They have some similarities but have a lot of differences. I like the Kaabo Wolf King+ but you can’t go wrong with the Mantis Pro.

The Kaabo Wolf King+ is massive and doesn’t do well at slow tight turns but has a ton of power. The Kaabo Mantis Pro is nimble and can handle quick movements at all speeds. They both use Minimotors controller, Zoom Hydraulic brakes and EY3 display, but that’s really about the only similarities. I’m going to break down the key differences so you can make an informed buying decision.

Why Choose The Kaabo Wolf King+

The Kaabo Wolf King+ is perfect for the adrenaline junkie who wants a speed machine. It will get your heart racing with speeds of up to 62 mph. The dual stem, hydraulic suspension, hydraulic ABS brakes, bright lights, and loud horn make sure you are safe while traveling at warp speeds.

The Kaabo Wolf King+ eats roads and trails with ease. However, since it does not lock into itself and weighs 106 pounds, it is not very portable or easy to lift into a vehicle. The weight and size does not make it nimble in tight turns and at low speeds.

The Kaabo Wolf King+ has it downsides, but ultimately the positives outshine the negatives. The King+ feels grounded at high speeds due to the weight, and the hydraulic suspension makes for a very comfortable ride. In turbo and double motor mode, you will feel the scooter try to rip itself out of your hands as soon as you pull the throttle.

You can cruise around the Wolf King+ at slower speeds, but because of the weight and size of it you have to be in attack mode at most times. The platform is large so its a comfortable cruise. However, the Wolf King+ is designed for fast and hard riding.

Why You Wouldn’t Choose the Kaabo Wolf King+

If you have to go up stairs at all with the Wolf King+, you will definitely want to look for other options. If you live by yourself and live far from the trails you want to ride, you will not want the Wolf King+ because it is hard to lift in a car to transport it. If you are planning on using it to commute to work, you may want the Mantis because it’s easier to bring it into the office.

Why Choose The Kaabo Mantis Pro

The Mantis Pro is a great choice If you want portability, do not plan on going over 38 mph, and only using it for light off-roading. With the ability to lock the Mantis Pro into itself when folded and weighing only 66 lbs, it makes it one of the most portable high powered scooters. The Mantis Pro performs extremely well on streets and intermediate mountain biking courses.

The Mantis Pro is a great for single mode commuting for trips less than 28-35 miles when running at full power. It has enough range, suspension, and power to get you from point A to point B without using a bus, subway, or lightrail. If you need to get on public transportation, it’s not ideal but its not horrific like the Wolf King+.

The Mantis Pro is fun because you can use it for a leisurely cruise, but you can turn up the speed and get your blood flowing. The c spring suspension on the Mantis is a total different feel than the Kaabo Wolf King+. The C spring suspension makes riding cracks and small potholes a breeze.

Why You Wouldn’t Choose the Kaabo Mantis Pro

If you want to go over 50 mph, the Mantis is not going to get you there. If you want to do hardcore off-roading, the Mantis single stem is not designed for massive jumps or drops.

If you are all about safety, ironically I would tell you to choose the Kaabo Wolf King+ because I feel the weight, dual stem, and hydraulic suspension make it a more sturdy ride compared to the Mantis Pro.

High Powered Scooters Need Weekly Maintenance

High powered scooters are a ton of fun. However, riding 35-60 mph without the protection of a car, leaves you open to having a nasty accident if the scooter breaks down. This is why it is important to check your high powered scooters weekly.

Unfortunately, Kaabo does not Loctite their bolts and it can cause major safety issues. If your bolts come lose on a Mantis motor hub, it could cause a tire to pop. Going 35 mph and having a tire pop is recipe for disaster.

If you make sure to tighten your bolts weekly and check on the brakes, it will help prevent a lot of issues. Loose bolts cause threads to shear, leading to loose components. Keeping your bolts tight will prevent shearing of bolts.

Also, make sure to monitor your battery levels. Running a scooter hard at low battery levels may cause the scooter to cut out. If a scooter dies when you are going over 30 mph, it can cause you to crash.

Whatever You Choose, Make Sure To Have Some Fun

You can’t go wrong when choosing the Kaabo Wolf King+ or Mantis Pro. Both scooters are extremely fun, and that’s what scootering is all about. At the end of the day, it’s all about personal preference and needs.

We hope this info helped you in clarifying the differences and will aid you in your decision. If you have any additional questions or need any clarification, please feel free to reach out.
