A Robot For Every Chore You Hate: MOVA Launch Event

MOVA showed out at their Beverly Hills launch event , presenting a full 60-volt cordless tool platform, three tiers of wire-free robot mowers topped by the NAVAX 5000 AWD, and two pool cleaners, including one with underwater AquaScan navigation. The Freshly Charged team sent Andrew out to see the brand's newest lineup in person, and what he came back with was a strong case that the robotics category is moving faster than most people realize, across categories that MOVA was not even playing in a year ago.

Nobody clocked Mova entering the power tool space, but we are always happy to welcome another player. Their 60-volt platform (meaningfully higher than what most competitors run) covers a trimmer, a blower, a lawn mower, and a snow blower. The trimmer features an auto-loading head that pulls the line in at the press of a button, which sounds minor until you remember how universally awful trimmer line loading has been. It also uses a speed lock rather than trigger modulation, so you can dial in a fixed RPM for working around trees or sensitive edges without constant trigger management. The blower is compact and light, and it demonstrated enough force to easily move a 1.5 kg battery across a surface with the high-power nozzle attached....so in other words, it can be a beast for your yard work but definitely don't point it at a small child. The whole platform supports over-the-air updates and AI-assisted tuning, which means the tools should improve after purchase rather than staying static.

Three Robot Mowers, One Clear Direction

Mova brought three robot mowers and they share a common philosophy: ditch the perimeter wire, use real navigation, and get closer to the edges than the competition.

The flagship NAVAX 5000 AWD makes the strongest technical statement. It uses Tri-Fusion navigation, combining vision, lidar, and wireless RTK positioning via 4G rather than a physical base station. Each wheel has its own independent motor, and it can handle slopes up to 80%. The front-mounted lidar sits low and points forward rather than the dome-style placement seen on most robot mowers, and Mova claims it can detect obstacles that traditional units miss, including dog waste. Whether that holds up in a full field test remains to be seen, but it is the right problem to be solving.

The LiDAX Ultra 3000 AWD sits a step down with a similar all-wheel drive and lidar setup, pairing it with front-facing dual vision cameras for navigating complex yards. Both it and the NAVAX 5000 AWD share UltraTrim technology, which slides the cutting deck toward the lawn's edge to cut within 1.2 inches of borders and reduce manual trimming. Andrew currently has the LiDAX Ultra 3000 AWD in for a full review, so a deeper look is coming.

The LiDAX Ultra 2000 is the entry-level option, dropping to two-wheel drive and simplifying the feature set while keeping UltraTrim, front-facing vision, lidar, and RTK-free navigation that makes setup significantly easier. All three mowers include a PIN-protected display and 4G theft tracking.

The Pool Cleaners

MOVA is also making a run at the pool cleaner market on both sides of the budget divide. The Rover X10 is the premium entry, and its headline feature is AquaScan technology that enables communication with the unit while it is submerged. Previously, redirecting a robot pool cleaner mid-cycle meant physically retrieving it. With the Rover X10, a floating surface unit relays signals to the robot below, allowing real-time navigation to specific problem areas through the app. It also handles stairs, low platforms, and waterline double-scrubbing via an integrated roller.

On the budget end, the Diver A10 comes in under $800 and handles floors, walls, and waterlines without the premium price tag. For context, capable robot pool cleaners have historically started around $2,000. Getting meaningful coverage into the sub-$800 range is a genuine market shift we appreciate and will make this type of quality in product more accessible.

The Bigger Picture

MOVA arrived at this event as a brand most people associated with robot vacuums and wet-dry vacs, yet finished as something considerably more ambitious. Power tools, three tiers of robot mowers, and two pool cleaners, all shown in working form, all sharing a consistent design language around navigation, security, and app connectivity. In the near future, keep an eye out for a full Freshly Charged review of the LiDAX Ultra 3000 AWD!
