Like anything else in our highly divisive world, the electric unicycle world has a social media problem. Newbies to this category of electric rideables are likely to scroll through a few batches of content and come to the conclusion that every EUC rider is chasing 50mph, going long distances, or doing drops off loading docks. The actual majority of riders, the people who commute, cruise, and occasionally stop to smell the flowers, are underrepresented in the conversation. To bridge that gap, Jimmy took the King Song S19 out for a proper ride to make the case for the middle of the market, as well as share expert knowledge one what features you should prioritize when shopping for a EUC.

The King Song S19
Jimmy is a self-described average rider, and he takes the S19 out as a casual commuter in the 30 mph comfort range to evaluate whether it earns its place in the mid-range market as a quality product with solid, non-benchmark specs. His point: a lot of riders spend money on the fastest, heaviest wheels available and later find that something cheaper with more modest specifications would've been a better choice and saved them hundreds of dollars. The S19 tops out at somewhere around 35mph, claims 60 miles of range, and has a weight of 70 lbs, putting it on the lighter end of comparable EUCs in its class. For someone who is not racing, doing distance touring, or having crazy adventures, the price-to-power-to-weight ratio makes it a sensible buy.

Six Features That Actually Matter for Casual Riders
Powerful enough for your needs. The S19 tops out at somewhere around 35 mph and has 60 miles of claimed range. Jimmy's point is not that those numbers are exceptional, but instead that they are sufficient. A lot of riders overspend on performance headroom they never use when matching the wheel to the actual ride is the more rational purchase.
Weighs 70 lbs or less. At 70 lbs, the S19 sits on the lighter end of comparable EUCs in its class. Weight matters for portability, transport, and general handling, and Jimmy treats it as a hard ceiling worth holding when shopping in this segment.
Good suspension. Jimmy is direct about this: suspension used to feel like a gimmick on EUCs and now he considers it a necessity. The KingSong S19 carries the brand's signature suspension design, which he notes handles stairs and light off-road without drama. Ride comfort is the argument, not necessarily trail performance.
Good pads included. The S19 ships with pads and a seat that Jimmy rates as genuinely good out of the box. For riders who have gone through the process of researching third-party pad compatibility and spending extra after purchase, not having to do that is a meaningful time and money saver.
High water resistance. Any commuter EUC is going to encounter weather. Jimmy flags a strong water resistance rating as a non-negotiable for riders using their wheel to get around town rather than riding only in ideal conditions. In addition, he flags UL certification for a battery as a must in his eyes.
Fits your budget. The mid-range positioning is part of the value case. The S19 is not trying to compete with flagship performance wheels on specs, and that restraint is reflected in the price. For casual riders, paying for power and range they will never use is a poor trade.

The Syncwire Portable Pump
On another note, we want to mention a piece of equipment that Jimmy always has in his backpack when he is out cruising on any electric rideable. The Syncwire portable air compressor is battery powered, meaningfully smaller and lighter than a garage compressor, and includes a built-in light and USB charging output. During the video, Jimmy confirmed that EUC tire pressure is not something you can accurately test by feeling, and he was able to quickly fix the pressure on the S19 after it read lower than recommended. After getting five flat tires in a single summer, Jimmy will attest to always carrying a pump. That way, you're prepared before you inevitably get a flat somewhere inconvenient (it always happens in the worst places, we can attest). Jimmy also notes it is useful for airing down for off-road terrain and airing back up for road riding to recover range efficiency.

The Freshly Charged Verdict
In summary, the mid-range EUCs don't get enough credit amongst the larger crowd. The conversation gets dominated by extreme performance figures and extreme price points, which leaves casual riders without a clear signal about what wheel actually fits their life. Jimmy's personal daily rider at the time of filming is the InMotion V14, but the S19 makes a compelling case as a commuter and casual cruiser: capable enough to be genuinely useful, not so powerful that you are paying for performance you will never access.
