How heavy is the Predator DH6-Xg?

The Predator DH6-Xg weighs 900 grams. The helmet comes in just under 2 pounds, weighing 1.98 pounds to be exact!

The Predator DH6-Xg is 15% lighter than the TSG Pass Pro.

How many lenses come with the Predator DH6-Xg?

The DH6-Xg comes with three lenses: clear, chrome, and black.

I love having the extra black lense, because it is great on super sunny days. Chrome works decent on bright days, but black is the best at blocking out UV rays.

Does the Predator DH6-Xg fog up?

When I am moving, I have never had the visor on the DH6-Xg fog up on me. The ventilation hole on the DH6-Xg is bigger and doesn’t have foam on the inside of the mouthpiece like the TSG Pass Pro.

The large unobstructed ventilation hole creates great circulation when moving, so it helps prevent your head from getting too hot. It also makes it easier for people to hear you talk when your visor is down.

Size Chart for the Predator DH6-Xg

One of my favorite features about the Predator DH6-Xg is that there is no size chart.

The helmet is one size fits most and comes with three sets of padding. Thick pads for small heads, medium sized pads for medium heads, and thin pads for big heads.

The pads are connected with two rivets, and you can change out pads in under a minute.

Can you hear traffic and pedestrians when wearing the Predator DH6-Xg?

One of Jimmy’s favorite features of the Predator DH6-Xg is that he can hear better when the visor is down.

The TSG Pass Pro and Predator DH6-Xg both have cutouts for your ears, but the Predator has a cutout in the padding for the ear hole. The TSG Pass Pro’s padding blocks some of the ear cutout, making it hard to hear people when the visor is down.

With the Predator DH6-Xg, Jimmy and I can both have our visors down and still hear each other perfectly fine. With the TSG Pass Pro, we need both of our visors open to hear each other, and it is still muffled due to the foam piece and chin bar covering your mouth.

What certifications does the TSG Pass Pro Have?

The TSG Pass Pro has an ASTM 1952 certification for downhill mountain biking and a CE EN 1078 certification for biking and skateboarding.

The Predator DH6-Xg has CE EN 1078 certification for biking and skateboarding, but is not rated for downhill mountain biking.

I love the bag on the TSG Pass Pro!

The microfiber bag on the TSG Pass Pro is amazing, because it has an extra slot for the lense. The bag on the Predator DH6-Xg is one large pocket, so it is easy to scratch the extra lenses.

I would have liked the Predator bag to have pockets or come with covers for the extra lenses.

What’s worse on the TSG Pass Pro helmet?

  • Harder to hear
  • Comes with only two lenses
  • Only offered in Matte
  • Heavier
  • Have to choose size and fits a little small

The TSG Pass Pro comes with two lenses: chrome and clear.

Chrome is great for sunny days and clear is perfect for night riding.
