Things We Like
Easy Setup: The Mova comes with step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow, including how to set up and plug in the base, and how to let the vacuum initially map the floorplan.
Smart Mapping: The vacuum accurately mapped the rooms I designated. Later, when I left doors open, it explored and mapped those areas on its own—no manual input needed.
Suction Power: The Mova P50 Pro Ultra has 19,000 pascals of suction power, which is a lot for a robot vacuum.
Customizability: There are tons of customizable settings to adjust suction power, wetness, cleaning mode, and more, all through the intuitively designed app. You can turn it to ultra-strong suction mode, which gets a bit loud but is extremely effective, or you can turn it down to a softer setting with medium vacuum strength.
You can also set it to vacuum and mop at the same time, or just vacuum first and mop later.
Smart Mopping: The Mova automatically lifts up the mopping pads whenever it senses a rug underneath it. It can both vacuum and mop the floors, but it sticks to just vacuuming the rugs.
Self-Sanitary Mopping: The Mova sanitizes the mopping pads with 167°F (75°C) hot water after each cleaning cycle. It also dries out the mopping pads with 113°F hot air.
Mop Pads Auto-Detach: The Mova base also has the ability to automatically detach the magnetic mopping pads, in order to let the Mova vacuum only, without mopping. This is useful if you have deep rugs that you are worried about getting wet from the mopping pads.
Automations: You can hook the Mova up to your Alexa app, your Apple watch, or you can use direct voice activation by saying “Hey Mova”. You can also direct the Mova to follow you through the house to find a specific stain to clean up.
FPV: You can also directly control the Mova from your phone, using the FPV camera to operate it remotely.
App Features We Loved:

Room For Improvement
Adding Rugs: If you add a new rug after mapping, you’ll need to input its dimensions manually. Even with correct measurements when inputting the size of the rug, the app would make them larger on the map. This would cause the P50 Ultra Pro to not mop up to the edges.
I had to reduce the size of the rug on the map to get the P50 Ultra Pro to mop up to the edges. Not a huge issue, but I thought the AI and cameras would be able to detect what areas needed to be mopped and what didn’t. (MOVA did reach out and confirmed that their engineers will work on fixing the AI to detect rugs and auto-adjust the mopping.)
Ant Traps: I have set up ant traps in the corners of my house, and sometimes the Mova would try to vacuum up the ant traps, since they are a low profile item. My solution was to put the ant traps in areas where the vacuum doesn’t go.
The Freshly Charged Take
Robot vacuums typically don’t do a good job in my house due to furniture with weird legs, tight corners and multiple different surfaces, including area rugs. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra killed it. It has an insane amount of AI-driven and app connected features, and despite all this it remains easy to use. If you have a large home, multiple floor types, or just want a truly smart cleaning solution, this vacuum is worth the investment.
