A lot of people love Dualtron scooters for the looks, the power and the sound, but they are typically pretty pricey. Here is the brand-new Dualtron Togo; Dualtron's most affordable and their lightest scooter yet. Priced at just $610 (or $850 for the larger-battery version), it opens the Dualtron brand to a much wider range of potential scooter buyers. We liked both of these scooters for their build quality and overall aesthetics. Keep reading for our full review, list of pros and cons, and whether or not we think you should get this scooter.

Things We Love
Aesthetics: We love the look of this scooter. Usually in the entry-level and commuter-level scooter space, all the scooters look like rip-offs of Xiaomi and Segway. However, the Dualtron Togo truly has a unique look, as well as bright lights and a beautiful color display.
Turning Signal Button: Dalton was impressed that the turning signal button lit up green when the turning signals are activated, which makes it easy to know whether your blinker is on or not.
The App: The Dualtron integrated app provides lots of customizable features such as mph/kph, display brightness, ABS, speed limiter, and more. It's impressive to see a scooter priced at $610 come with an app.
Tire Compound: The tire compound combined with the tire profile makes for a very comfortable ride - especially on smooth paved roads. These tires also handle cornering particularly well, due to the rounded edges.
Folding Mechanism: The folding mechanism is intuitive and relatively simple. Once folded the scooter actually locks in place, so you can lift it with one hand.
Drum Brakes: Drum brakes are nice if you don't want to worry about maintenance. They perform slightly less well than disc brakes, but they are more than adequate for a commuter scooter.
Things We Didn't Love
Battery: The 36V version of the Dualtron Togo has a tiny battery. 210Wh is very small, less than half the size of the 720Wh battery of the 48V version. The estimated range of 12 miles is one of the lowest we've ever seen on a scooter, and most people who use a scooter for regular purposes will want something with a bit more range.
Water Rating: We are happy that Dualtron has finally put an official IP water resistance rating on the Dualtron Togo, but we would have preferred an IPX6 rating. IPX5 means the scooter can handle light pressure sprays of water from all directions, so the Togo definitely can handle light rain but would have issues in a torrential downpour.
Stem Creak: When we move the handlebars back and forth, there is a creaking sound coming from the hinges - we hope that this is just something needing to be oiled, and not an actual mechanical issue. We suspect so, since we've had other creaky Dualtrons that just needed a little oil.
Tires: While we loved the tire compound and shape, tubeless tires would be much better for preventing flats.
Charge Port Placement: The charge port is located in a spot that will get worn down over time if you ride up curbs, or even just walk the scooter up and down curbs or stairs.
The Freshly Charged Take
The 36V version we would recommend for kids or those who live in very flat areas and don't need to climb hills or inclines. The 48V can handle much more rugged and long-distance commuting, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking at the Segway or Xiaomi models but wants something with full suspension and a more stylish look to it.
