All Wheel Drive

According to Wallke's website description, the Wallke X3 Max's "dual motors have a high level of torque, which can make them well-suited for use in hilly or mountainous terrain." The website then goes on to list the recommended scenarios for switching the bike between RWD, FWD or AWD.

RWD Mode: For maximum distance with minimal power usage.

FWD Mode: For maneuvering over loose terrain, slippery surfaces, or snow.

AWD Mode: For conquering the most challenging, steepest terrain.

For most dual motor bikes we've tested (or even dual motor scooters) the options are typically between RWD or AWD only, and there is no FWD option. Additionally, some scooters such as the Dualtron X Limited or the Yume Predator are locked into AWD mode. The Wallke X3 Max is the first bike we have seen that allows full control over which motors are used.

The Freshly Charged Take

We're pretty impressed with this bike overall, and it comes in at a price that makes it hard to pass up if you are looking for an ultra-fun trail riding super powerful trail bike. The Ariel Rider Grizzly, another bike-bordering-on-motorcycle that we have reviewed in the past, also features dual 1000W motors and full suspension, but comes in at $3099 (when it is on sale!). Also, the Ariel doesn't fold, and the Wallke X3 does, making it the most portable dual-motor e-bike currently on the market.
