The YUME M10 is a feature-rich, budget-friendly electric scooter with a unique audible alarm and key fob for added security. Highlights include versatile hybrid tires, adjustable hydraulic suspension, and quality design features. While it offers strong value under $2,000, some quality control issues and overstated specs detract from the overall experience. Ideal for commuters and off-roaders alike.

Written Review
The YUME M10 is their flagship 10-inch tire eScooter that is feature packed and comes in at a budget-friendly price. It is the first electric scooter we have reviewed with an audible alarm system and key fob to try and deter theft. We had the honor of testing the prototype a year ago, and our input was used to make the final production units. They fixed all the issues we had with the prototype, but there are a few quality control issues that need to be improved upon. In this review, we will tell you what we love and hate about the YUME M10. Click here for the current pricing on the YUME M10 Save $100 with coupon code: GotScooterM10
What I love about the YUME M10
- Audible alarm system
- Wide handlebars
- LED controllable lights
- Two chargers
- Budget-friendly
- Hybrid offroad tires
- Tall steering pole
- Good service for Chinese based company
- Long deck
- Metal fenders
- Free handlebar bag
- Adjustable stem angle
- Offroad capable
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Large steering pole clamp
- Zoom hydraulic disc brakes
- Adjustable hydraulic suspension
The key fob allows you to disable the scooter so it cannot be turned on, and offers an audible alarm if someone moves the scooter. It’s great for deterring thieves and preventing your kids from taking off on the scooter without your permission.
The tall steering pole and wide handlebars will fit tall riders and feels comfortable under my 6 foot tall frame. I like how you can adjust the stem angle to fit different heights and accommodate more aggressive stances.
YUME uses metal fenders on most of their scooters which is a huge plus because we have snapped plastic fenders in the past.
How long does it take to charge the YUME M10 from empty to full?
From empty to full, the M10 will take a little under 6 hours to fully charge with the two chargers provided. Using only one charger, it will take 11 hours to charge from empty to full. I love how most YUME scooters come with 2 chargers allowing you to fast charge or have one charger at home and one charger at work. What type of tires are on the YUME M10?
The YUME M10 features 10 inch by 3 inch hybrid off-road tires. Hybrid tires are knobby and have a more rounded profile. Hybrid off-road tires are some of my favorite because they allow you to hit single tracks, and the rounded profile performs well on street riding.
What type of brakes are on the YUME M10?
The YUME M10 features Zoom hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm brake discs. They offer plenty of stopping power and are easy to press down with just a finger. Hydraulic disc brakes are much better than mechanical disc brakes due to less maintenance and softer lever action to stop. What type of suspension is on the YUME M10?
The YUME M10 features adjustable hydraulic suspension. You can adjust the rebound to be fast or slow depending on what type of riding you will be doing. Pair the adjustable suspension with the hybrid off-road tires, and you can tackle almost any terrain that comes your direction.

What I hate about the YUME M10
- Quality control issues
- Cheap red and yellow buttons
- Overstated top speed
- Slow acceleration
- Kick plate angle isn’t the most comfortable
- Doesn’t lock into place when folded
In order for us to fix the issue, we have to remove all the items on the handlebars, flip the handlebar around, and reinstall everything back on to the handle bars.
I don’t think that this issue will be on all the scooters, but it’s a quality control issue that should have been caught and gives me pause wondering what else may have been installed incorrectly from the factory.
We also found a few bolts were rusty which shouldn’t happen on a brand new scooter.
Does the YUME M10 go 43 mph?
When I tested out the M10 acceleration, I was only able to get it to 36 mph. The display read 46 mph so it was disappointing to see that the display was off by 10 mph, which is a pretty big discrepancy. I can accept 2-5 mph variance, but 10 mph is too much. I will adjust the tire size in the p-settings to try and get it to read correctly, but out of the box, this big of a speed disparity is unacceptable.
Does the YUME M10 accelerate fast?
If you are coming from a Lime ride share scooter, you will think the YUME M10 is plenty fast. For me, the acceleration curve is a little lacking for a dual 1200 watt motor scooter. Jimmy likes the tapered acceleration, but I like a little bit more punch when I mash down on the throttle.
It’s 2022 and we need to get rid of the cheap red and yellow buttons
I hate the red and yellow buttons that control the dual/single motors and eco/turbo mode. They look cheap and they are counter intuitive based on the labeling on the buttons. I prefer the black silicone buttons that the 2022 Kaabo Mantis use because they look a lot more sleek and have a blue light to show you what mode they are in.
