The exhilarating turbo mode is a blast, but it only lasts for 5 seconds, which can leave you craving more of that lightning-fast acceleration.

Suspension Adjustments

Unfortunately, you can't adjust the suspension on the go. I like that you don't have to buy new cartridges to adjust the suspension. However, having to take apart the scooter to add or remove gaskets is a tedious task that will take at least 15 minutes.

Charger

While the Thunder 3 is an impressive machine, it comes with only one small 1.4 amp charger, which may not be sufficient for those looking for faster charging times. The Thunder 3 will take just under 29 hours to charge from empty to full. For the price you are paying for the Thunder 3, I would expect at least two 1.4 amp chargers or a 5 amp rapid charger.

Kickstand Stability

I like that the kickstand height can be adjusted. However, I found the kickstand can fall over easily if the scooter is not on flat ground. Make sure to double-check the stability of the scooter when using the kickstand.

Limited Tire Options

It would be a nice addition to have the choice of different tire treads to tailor your ride to different terrains and conditions.

I love scooters that are offered in hybrid offroad tires because they have great tread to grip offroad trails and a nice rounded profile to turn well and can carve on smooth pavement.

Square Wave Controller

The Thunder 3 utilizes a square wave controller, which can result in jerky acceleration, especially if you're not accustomed to it. Some riders may prefer the buttery-smooth acceleration of sine wave controllers, making this aspect a potential drawback for those looking for a more refined ride experience. I don't mind square wave controllers because I am constantly mashing down on the throttle and love to go fast. However, Jimmy is not a huge fan of scooters with square wave controllers.
