When I first saw the EUC dude online, I wanted to learn more about the creator so I reached out. Below is Kit Ohm’s story about how he combined his passions of electric unicycles with jewelry making:
The Story of EUC Dude and His Creator, Kit Ohm
My PEV journey started about four years ago with electric skateboards and the Onewheel. One night after watching a YouTube video of a random Onewheel guy talking about an EUC, I bought a Kingsong 16S.
It actually took me a long time to learn how to ride the EUC. I almost gave up, but I stuck with it and it finally clicked.
Gotway Nikola is the wheel I’m riding right now and I am thinking about upgrading to the Inmotion V12 next. My wife and daughter also ride EUCs and it’s fun to ride together.
A few years ago I got into 3D printing to help prototype jewelry that I made for my business and that has become my new hobby.
I love creating jewelry. One day I thought it would be nice to combine my two hobbies of EUC and jewelry making together and that was when the EUC Dude was born.
After several iterations, I came up with the sterling silver EUC Dude pendant. But not everyone wears jewelry so I tweaked the 3D model and came up with a larger piece of EUC Dude with a spinning wheel as a keychain.
To make these keychains more affordable they were made in alloy instead of sterling silver. Here’s a video of how the jewelry is made:
