Initial Thoughts

At first glance, this wheel is extremely intriguing. In the past year, new wheels have almost exclusively been either 20 inch EUCs (Lynx, Blitz, X-Way, etc.) or small wheels (Mten5, Begode Mini, Inmotion E20). This has prompted a resurgence in demand for a wheel with medium weight and yet still high performance. At 1500Wh, the Rocket has only slightly less battery capacity than wheels like the Begode T4 Max, but still significantly more than the aforementioned small wheels. Particularly with 50S cells, 1500wh is more than enough for most trail riding, and the C40 HT motor certainly suggests this type of use.

An Upgraded Nosfet Aero?

In some ways, the Rocket is reminiscent of the recently announced Nosfet Aero. The Aero also fits into the niche of midweight trail/commuting suspension EUC. This certainly had to be on the radar of Extreme Bull, and it wouldn’t surprise us at all if the Rocket was an attempt to copy Nosfet, given their history of doing exactly this thing with many wheels in the past. There are significant differences here though, which might make the Rocket a more appealing wheel. The Rocket's 1500Wh is 25% larger than the Nosfets 1110Wh, the voltage is 168v compared to 126v on the Aero, the real world top speed is likely about 15-20% faster, and the suspension travel on the Rocket is a full 100mm, which is fantastic for a 15" EUC.

The Freshly Charged Take

While we don’t yet know what the price will be on the Extreme Bull Rocket, it certainly looks like an impressive little beast of a wheel. The design follows the incognito boxy look that Extreme Bull has sported for years, which has proved to be extremely durable and a fantastic foundation for pads and other mods. Overall, we think this EUC shows huge potential, and look forward to seeing it in testing.
