Litheli EasySurge Electric Lawn Mower – Hands-On Review

by Nathan Schaumann

If you’re looking for a lightweight, futuristic-looking electric mower that’s also practical and affordable, the Litheli EasySurge Electric Lawn Mower might be the one. We tested it on an overgrown lawn and pushed it to the limit to see how it would handle tough jobs. The result? A mower that’s surprisingly powerful, and packed with user-friendly features that make it easy to store, transport, and operate.

Where can I buy the Litheli EasySurge?
You can buy the EasySurge directly from Litheli’s official website or on Amazon here. At the time of our testing, they also had a deal offering their U-Battery Plus for just $9.99 with free shipping, which powers a whole range of Litheli tools.

What is the max speed of the Litheli EasySurge?
In self-propelled mode, the EasySurge can move between 1.3 to 2.9 mph. This is adjustable using a dial on the handlebar. We found this especially useful when mowing in tight spaces or dealing with heavy grass, since you can slow it down to avoid bogging the motor.

What is the battery size of the Litheli EasySurge?
The mower runs on 20V Litheli U-Batteries, and you can install up to four at once. Ours came with two, which gave us about 30+ minutes of runtime in real-world use — longer than we expected, even on very tall grass. The batteries charge in around 1.5 hours with a fast charger and stayed cool even after extended mowing.

Does the Litheli EasySurge have a removable battery?
Yes. The batteries are hot-swappable and pop in and out easily. They’re also compatible with other Litheli tools like trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and even a backpack cooler. As a bonus, the batteries double as power banks with USB-C ports.

Is the Litheli EasySurge foldable?
Yes, and it’s one of the easiest folding mowers we’ve used. You can collapse it in seconds by pulling a latch, making it compact for trunk transport or garage storage. The handle also adjusts between two angles to accommodate different user heights.

Can the Litheli EasySurge work on an incline?
It handles mild inclines without a problem, especially thanks to the self-propelled drive. However, it’s not AWD and isn’t made for steep or uneven terrain. If your yard has lots of slopes or dips, you might need to manually assist or slow down in certain areas.

What kinds of terrain can the EasySurge handle?
For a standard lawn, yes. We tested it in grass that had grown up to 14 inches in places, and while it struggled slightly without boost mode, it handled it surprisingly well using the EasySurge (overclock) function. That said, it’s not made for dirt paths, weeds, or brush — it’s still a residential mower, not a field-clearing mower.

Can you use the Litheli EasySurge in the rain?
We finished a mow session just as rain started, but we didn’t run it actively in wet conditions. The mower’s plastic shell seems splash-resistant, but there’s no mention of waterproofing. We’d recommend avoiding mowing during active rain, especially to protect the electronics and battery ports.

What features does the Litheli EasySurge have?
This mower includes several features:

  • Self-propelled drive with adjustable speed
  • Overclock/EasySurge button for extra cutting power when needed
  • Battery level display on the handle panel
  • Single lever height adjustment from 1 to 3 inches
  • Bagging and mulching options, with tool-free swaps
  • USB-C power bank support via the battery packs
  • Foldable and lightweight design for easy storage and transport

We especially liked how cool the batteries stayed and how the mower maintained solid cutting power even with only 20 volts. The airflow system also did a good job at filling the grass bag evenly — a problem we’ve seen with other electric mowers.

Does the Litheli EasySurge have an app?
No, there’s no app or Bluetooth connectivity with this model. All controls are handled through physical dials and buttons on the mower itself, which honestly keeps things easy and simple.

What is an alternative to the Litheli EasySurge?
If you’re looking for another affordable battery-powered mower, the Greenworks 40V series or Ryobi 18V mowers are good alternatives. But neither offers the same level of portability, folding design, or swappable battery features that can power a whole ecosystem of tools.

The Freshly Charged Take – Litheli EasySurge

The Litheli EasySurge is a great option for homeowners with small to medium lawns who want a lightweight, quiet, and easy-to-store mower. We were impressed by how well it handled overgrown grass, how easy it was to maneuver, and how practical the battery system is. It’s not perfect — the grass bag could use a handle, and the self-propelled speed takes some getting used to — but for the price, it’s one of the most feature-packed electric mowers we’ve tested. If you want a mower that looks cool, folds small, and gets the job done with minimal hassle, the EasySurge is worth looking at.
