The Husqvarna Automower 450X NERA is a robotic lawn mower designed for large-scale maintenance of areas up to 5,000 m² and is capable of navigating slopes with an incline of up to 50%. A primary feature of the NERA series is its compatibility with the Husqvarna EPOS Plug-in Kit, an optional accessory that enables satellite-based navigation for wire-free virtual boundaries with a reported precision of 2–3 cm. The unit utilizes a cutting system composed of three pivoting razor blades with an adjustable cutting height ranging from 20 to 60 mm. For obstacle management, the 450X NERA is equipped with built-in radar technology to detect and avoid objects on the lawn, supplemented by GPS-assisted navigation and 4G/Wi-Fi connectivity via the Automower Connect app. Operational technicalities include the TargetHeight function for automated cutting height reduction, a weather timer that adjusts mowing frequency based on grass growth, and a 195-minute typical mow time per 40-minute charge cycle.
