Written Review

The Nanrobot N6 is one of the most unique scooters we have reviewed on the channel. The aesthetics of the scooter reminds us of the Transformers and has an overall great ride quality. The scooter has its quirks but if you are looking for a budget-friendly 40mph scooter, you will want to check out the Nanrobot N6.

In this review, I will tell you what I hate and love about the Nanrobot N6.

What I hate about the Nanrobot N6

  • 6-month warranty
  • The parent company in China handles warranty
  • Quality control issues
  • Low-quality battery cells
  • 52-volt battery system
  • The updated display is outdated
  • The body is made of plastic pieces
  • No turn signals in the rear

Limited Warranty Coverage:

Short Warranty Period: The Nanrobot N6 offers a 6-month warranty, which may not provide long-term peace of mind for some users.

Overseas Warranty Handling: The parent company in China handles warranty claims, potentially causing delays and inconvenience for customers.

Quality Control Issues:

Inconsistent Quality: The paint job on our scooter’s plastic components had lots of imperfections and the main locking mechanism bolt was bent in shipping.

Low-Quality Battery Cells: The scooter’s battery cells have been criticized for their lower quality compared to other electric scooters in the market.

Cutout Issues: The scooter we reviewed would cut out when accelerating if we didn’t have the lights on. There are a lot of lights on the scooter and it will necessarily drain the battery. They did fix the throttle issue with the new display but should have caught it before production.

Battery System Limitations:

52-Volt Battery System: The N6 is supposed to be an upgrade to Nanrobot’s D6+. However, they still used a 52-volt battery system. I would have liked for Nanrobot to upgrade it to a 60-volt system due to the competition scooters in the same class like the VSETT 10+ and Kaabo Mantis King GT all using a 60-volt system.

Outdated Display:

Updated Display: While the Nanrobot N6 that we reviewed had an updated display, it has been replaced by an outdated display lacking modern features and visual aesthetics. It is the same display used on the Varla Pegasus and Lectric Ebikes.

They updated the display due to the cutout issue but they should have found a display that didn’t look outdated.

Build Material and Aesthetics:

Plastic Body Pieces: The Nanrobot N6’s body is constructed with plastic pieces, which may be less durable compared to scooters made of sturdier materials.

Missing Front Turn Signals: Despite the presence of rear turn signals, the Nanrobot N6 lacks front turn signals, potentially impacting safety during lane changes.

Final Thoughts

The Nanrobot N6 Electric Scooter offers a range of attractive features for electric scooter enthusiasts.

Its stable high-speed performance, controllable LED lights, hybrid off-road tires, adjustable hydraulic brake levers, and practical design elements provide a thrilling and comfortable riding experience. The scooter’s large deck, bright front light, fender coverage, and rear turn signals contribute to enhanced safety and convenience on the road.

However, potential buyers should also consider the limitations of the Nanrobot N6. Its limited warranty coverage and overseas warranty handling might not provide long-term reassurance for some users. Quality control issues and lower-quality battery cells could impact the scooter’s reliability and longevity. The 52-volt battery system and the outdated display may turn off advanced electric scooter riders.

By weighing the pros and cons highlighted in this review, prospective buyers can make an informed decision regarding the Nanrobot N6 Electric Scooter’s suitability for their specific needs and preferences.
