Heybike recently launched the Heybike Mars 2.0, showcasing a substantial improvement over its predecessor. The 2.0 has transitioned into a class 3 e-bike from its former class 2 designation and is now equipped with a smart app that can track rides, monitor calories burned, and enable a secure locking feature.
While the Mars 2.0 undoubtedly outshines its forerunner, it's essential to note that there are still certain drawbacks associated with this upgraded model.

True 20" x 4" Fat Tires: Tackling Any Terrain
The Mars 2.0's true 20" x 4" fat tires are a game-changer. They provide stability, traction, and the confidence to conquer various terrains. From sandy trails to urban streets, these tires ensure a smooth and controlled ride. Most of the budget foldable ebikes feature 20" x 3" tires.

Foldable and Portable: On-the-Go Adventure
The foldable design of the Heybike Mars 2.0 is a godsend for those who crave flexibility in their adventures. Whether it's commuting, exploring, or storing in a limited space, the portability factor adds a layer of convenience that many riders appreciate.

Comfortable Saddle with Suspension Seatpost: Smooth Rides
The soft and comfortable saddle paired with a suspension seatpost delivers a plush riding experience. It absorbs shocks and vibrations, making longer rides a breeze. Comfort meets functionality in the Mars 2.0's thoughtful design.

Variety of Colors: Personalized Style
The Heybike Mars 2.0 doesn't just perform well; it looks good doing it. With four different colors to choose from, riders have the opportunity to express their personal style. Aesthetics meet functionality in this vibrant range.

What we hate about the Heybike Mars 2.0
- Shimano Tourney derailleur
- Packaging could be improved
- Wish there was a way to upgrade to a color display
- Prefer hydraulic suspension over coil suspension
- Would like hydraulic disc brakes instead of mechanical disc brakes
- App could use more functionality
Shimano Tourney Derailleur: A Stumbling Block
The Shimano Tourney derailleur is easy to adjust but is the most cost-effective derailleur that Shimano offers. I would have liked for them to put a Shimano Acera or Altus derailleur on the Mars 2.0 which has a much more smooth shifting experience.
Packaging Could Be Improved: First Impressions Matter
While the Heybike Mars 2.0 shines on the road, the packaging leaves much to be desired. A more secure and thoughtful packaging solution could enhance the overall unboxing experience for riders. Our box was damaged and the rear rack had a fair amount of damage.

Upgrade to a Color Display: A Visual Wishlist
The Mars 2.0's display, while functional, lacks the vibrancy of a color screen. An option to upgrade to a color display would undoubtedly enhance the visual appeal and user interface.
Preference for Hydraulic Suspension: Seeking a Smoother Ride
While the coil suspension does its job, a hydraulic suspension system would add a touch of luxury to the Mars 2.0's ride. This upgrade would cater to riders who prioritize a smoother, more responsive suspension experience.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes Over Mechanical: Stopping Power Upgrade
The preference for hydraulic disc brakes over mechanical disc brakes is a common sentiment among riders. Hydraulic brakes offer more precise control and superior stopping power, especially crucial during high-speed rides.

App Functionality: Room for Growth
While the Bluetooth app enhances connectivity, there's room for improvement in terms of functionality. Adding more features and refining the user interface could elevate the overall app experience for Heybike Mars 2.0 users.

Conclusion:
The Heybike Mars 2.0 is a formidable contender in the electric biking arena, earning its stripes with an array of impressive features. While it's not without its flaws, the love for its true 20" x 4" fat tires, foldable design, and smart app connectivity outweigh the gripes.
As Heybike continues to innovate, addressing these minor drawbacks could propel the Mars 2.0 into the echelons of perfection. For now, it stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of electric biking, offering riders a taste of the future with a few lessons to learn along the way.

The Wired Viper is an exceptionally high-performance 20x4 fat tire eBike that blurs the line between a traditional bicycle and an electric motorcycle. Featuring massive 72V 35Ah batteries and a dual-motor system capable of an 8,000W peak output, this "compact monster" can reach speeds of over 55 mph with acceleration so aggressive it can easily trigger wheelies. Despite its raw power, the bike offers a premium and stable ride thanks to high-end components like an Exsho Cowboy dual crown fork, 4-piston hydraulic brakes, and a highly customizable display that allows riders to tame the motor behavior. While it is likely too heavy and "unhinged" for beginners or casual commuters, the Viper stands out as a top-tier choice for adrenaline seekers who want maximum torque and long-range performance in a smaller, step-through frame.

The Wired Warrior is a "Clark Kent" style power performance machine that packs a massive 72V system and an exclusive 5000W peak motor into a full-size, stable frame. While it looks like a premium fat-tire bicycle, our testing proved it is a high-speed monster capable of hitting a GPS-verified 52 mph and demolishing steep hills that would stall most competitors. It balances this raw, "unhinged" acceleration with expert-level safety features like 10-gauge spokes and a 56T chainring to prevent ghost pedaling, making it the definitive choice for riders who want elite e-moto performance without the legal profile of an electric dirt bike.
The Velotric Summit 2 is what happens when a brand stops trying to shout over the competition with marketing buzzwords and starts building a vehicle that actually solves real-world problems. This isn't just another generic hub-drive e-bike; it’s a refined, capable, and surprisingly intelligent machine that aims to bridge the gap between "commuter" and "off-road adventurer."
