Last year at CES, Segway released the Xafari E-bike, Xyber E-bike, a new Go-Kart, the Segway ST1 scooter, and a number of smaller products like a self-balancing scooter and a lawnmower. 1 year later, where are these products now? The Segway ST1 has still yet to see production, the Go-Kart has been available for purchase on the Segway website for a while now, and the Xafari and Xyber are getting re-released this year at CES, and are finally on sale. They also have a brand new scooter, the GT3 Pro, that we had a blast riding.
We got the chance to test out these products along with our friends Seth Johnson and Law Laxina, who also helped us out with our review of the Begode X-Way recently.
Segway Xyber
Last year at CES, Segway told us that their flagship E-bike, the Xyber, only went 25mph. This year, however, they confirmed that it actually can reach a speed of 35mph, and can be unlocked to go even faster.

The Xyber reminds us a lot of the Super73 or a Yadea Trooper, with it’s dirt bike design and super wide tires. It has zippy acceleration, large display, buttons that you can access with your thumbs while holding the handlebars, and an ergonomic design. The Xyber also has 175Nm of torque, which is crazy for an E-bike.

Segway GT3 Pro
Each scooter model Segway releases gets better and better, and the GT3 Pro is no exception. It’s expected to releaes in Q2 2025, but we got to ride their demo model. The suspension is nicely tuned, the brakes are excellent, and the scooter is easy to ride. It also features a top speed of ~50mph, a 72V battery system, and dual motors.

Typically a scooter handlebar goes straight through the front axle, and if it is off-center the scooter feels unstable. Somehow Segway has managed to design the handlebar so that it feels even more stable, even while missing the center of the axle by a few inches.
The GT3 Pro also has hydraulic brakes and hydraulic suspension, a feature shared among all of the superscooters.

Segway GT3
The Segway GT3 is the little brother of the GT3 Pro, and it features largely the same design, but without the dual motors. It is already available for purchase on the Segway website here. The GT3 also has an updated screen that connects to the app, allowing you to get turn-by-turn directions directly on the integrated scooter screen, instead of having to use your phone with a phone mount.
The GT3 has a top speed of 31mph, a single 2400W motor, self-healing tubeless tires, and a super loud horn. It also features a softer bell, so you can alternate between getting the attention of cars on the road and pedestrians in front of you. All of these features are also shared by the GT3 Pro.
Ninebot Max G3
Segway Ninebot has updated it’s lineup and branding: going forward, all scooters called “Segway” will be the higher-powered models with the X-bar light in the front, like the ZT3 Pro. The Ninebot scooters will be all commuter scooters, and will feature a light bar in a straight line, as you can see in the picture below.

The Ninebot Max series models now also come with a handle on the front, which is extremely convenient for carrying the scooter, and for locking it to nearby objects.

The Ninebot Max G3 also features 2 charge ports: a regular charge port by the base of the handlebar stem, and a fast charge port towards the rear of the deck on the right side, which charges 3x as fast. It also features a single motor, dual mechanical brakes, and dual hydraulic suspension.
