Begode Future – Who Is This Quirky Wheel For?

by Nathan Schaumann

Begode has long been the innovative leader among the other major EUC brands. With their latest release, the aptly named Begode Future, we get a picture of the futuristic innovation that Begode has to offer. The Begode Future, released in 2025, is a 15-inch EUC aiming to capture the fast growing market of beginner EUCs. In this article we’ll take a look at the Begode Future, its specs, and who we think this wheel is for.

Mten Mini… but not so Mini?

At first glance, the Begode Future looks like a larger version of the Begode Mten Mini. Obviously this poses a serious question—if it’s no longer mini, then what is its niche? The battery is paltry, rendering it more or less unusable for commuting, and the advertised top speed of 14 mph also dissuades us from considering this a commuting wheel. So what exactly is this wheel for?

The “Begode Future” niche

Actually, this wheel seems to fill a niche that we’ve been eying for a while—the perfect learning wheel. Most EUCs are not great for learning either because they are too large and heavy, or they fall on the other end of the spectrum and are too small or light. Learning on a large EUC requires muscles that many lack, and managing the weight can feel an insurmountable challenge.

On the other hand, a unicycle that is too small (such as the Mten Mini or the Mten3) may be easier to learn to ride, but those skills don’t necessarily transfer to a larger EUC, since you don’t acquire the requisite weight management skills. The Begode Future is heavier than it needs to be for its size, but this helps a new rider learn to manage some weight. It’s taller than other beginner wheels, which also contributes to the experience.

The Freshly Charged Take

All things considered, we think this wheel may be perfect for the beginner rider. There are no frills—no LED’s a small battery, slow speed, no trolley handle. But if you’re just here to learn, this will do an admirable job, and that at a fraction of the price of other wheels.
