Ride1Up is a well-known brand in the electric bike industry and they just released their newest ebike model called the Turris. A lot of the budget ebikes come with budget components such as low-power motors, Shimano Tourney derailleurs, plastic fenders, and mechanical disc brakes. The Ride1Up Turris breaks this trend with a budget-friendly ebike that actually comes with better-than-budget components like its powerful Shengyi 750-watt motor, Shimano Altus derailleur, metal fenders, and Zoom hydraulic disc brakes. If you have been looking for a quality ebike at a budget-friendly price, the Ride1Up Turris should be on your radar. In this review, we will take a closer look at the Ride1Up Turris Ebike and its features. Click here for the current pricing on the Ride1Up Turris. Powerful Motor and Suspension
The Ride1Up Turris Ebike is equipped with a 750-watt motor that provides an impressive amount of power for riding uphill and off-road. Additionally, the 100mm suspension ensures a smooth ride on bumpy terrains, providing comfort and stability.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
The Turris ebike also features Zoom hydraulic brake discs that provide excellent stopping power, allowing the rider to quickly and safely stop the bike even when traveling at high speeds. Hydraulic disc brakes require less maintenance than mechanical disc brakes and less lever pressure to stop.
Large Tires
The 27.5-inch by 2.4-inch balloon tires are wider and larger than most standard ebike tires, providing better traction and stability on different terrains. These tires make it easier for the rider to maneuver the bike on dirt trails, gravel paths, and other uneven surfaces. The tires also have brownwalls which add a nice accent to the bike.
Metal Fenders
The metal fenders on the Turris ebike not only add to its overall aesthetic appeal but also protect the rider from mud and water splashes while riding in wet conditions. These metal fenders are durable and long-lasting, making them a great addition to the bike’s design. I like that you can adjust the arms on the fenders to adjust the clearance if they ever get bent.
Budget-Friendly Price
The Ride1Up Turris Ebike over achieves with its above average components and an affordable price of $1295. This ebike replaces the prior Ride1Up 500 series, offering a more modern design with styling that blends the best features from the Core-5 and LMTD models.
Higher-Level Components
In addition to the features mentioned above, the Ride1Up Turris Ebike is equipped with many other higher-level components. These include a 7-speed Shimano Altus derailleur, Shimano thumb shifter, 27.5″ by 2.4″ brown wall balloon tires, clean cable management, high-quality paint job, comfy seat, and an LG battery with a range of up to 50 miles per charge.

Ride1Up Turris Drawbacks
- Greyscale display
- Requires more assembly
- Front cables have a little too much slack
- No taillight or brake light
- Front light is not that great for safe night riding
Does the Ride1Up Turris Require Assembly?
The Turris requires a little bit more assembly than other ebikes we have reviewed, but it’s not too difficult to assemble if you are semi-handy. You will have to install the fork, pedals, fenders, and chain. The derailleur may need some adjusting as well. Ride1Up is able to offer higher-quality components at a budget price by saving money shipping their ebikes in smaller boxes. This means you will have to put a little more energy into putting the bike together. I actually enjoyed putting the ebike together just like some people like working on cars or in a garden. If the assembly process is intimidating, you can always contact your local bike shop to put it together for around $100
